One of the big Bridal Gown trends is customized separates. Many designers are coming out with bridal lines where you can “mix and match” your dress bodice and skirt. Many of these pieces can be made in a range of different fabrics and lace. Here is what a few of our favorite designers are doing in Bridal Gown separates.
Karen Willis Holmes has come out with the DYG (design your gown) line. Any of the bodices and skirts in the line can be put together to make your dream dress. This line is made from a silk twill fabric that has a beautiful sheen to it. These dresses can be made as a one piece dress or you can wear the pair as a top and skirt.
Karen Willis Holmes has also released the Wild Hearts collection, which has many designs in lace overlays and skirts. This collection has a base gown that beautifully pairs with a lace overlay. There are also two piece options, such as lace tops and chiffon skirts.
Ivy and Aster has many beautiful separates. One of our personal favorites is the lace “moto” jacket, called Wilde, to add an edge to your wedding day look. The jacket can be worn over any gown, or with their beautiful blush tulle skirt.
Sally Eagle has put together a romantic collection of lace and chiffon pieces, including a beautifully beaded lace ballet jacket, lace tops, and chiffon skirts. There are so many combinations, every bride can make an unique dress to suit her personal style.
Jenny Yoo is not only doing separates for Brides, but for bridesmaids, too. Jenny Yoo has put together a beautiful mix of colors this season, in styles such as sweater tops and tulle skirts will make it easy to have a put-together bridal party where everyone can keep their own style.
